Complete structural design for a 15-story commercial building including seismic analysis and foundation engineering. This project involved complex soil conditions requiring deep pile foundations and a moment-resisting frame system designed to withstand seismic forces. Our team delivered comprehensive structural drawings and calculations within the project timeline.
The site presented extremely challenging alluvial soil conditions with a high water table, requiring deep foundation solutions. The building needed to achieve a 15-story height within a dense urban block with adjacent structures as close as 3 meters, demanding careful construction sequencing and vibration control.
We designed a moment-resisting reinforced concrete frame system with strategically placed shear walls for lateral stability. The foundation utilized 30m-deep bored piles with a 2m-thick pile cap to transfer loads through soft clay layers to competent bearing strata. Seismic design followed ACI 318 special moment frame provisions with performance-based analysis for MCE-level events.
